“Complete Fake”: What Triggered Simcha Rothman’s Outrage?

The chairman of the Constitution Committee claimed that a clip aired during an interview on i24news had been edited in a biased way. “You are airing a clip that has been edited falsely, while the full video is with you,” said MK Simcha Rothman, chairman of the Knesset Constitution Committee, during an interview on i24news.

Within seconds, Rothman became furious at the interviewer after a clip was shown of a confrontation between him and MK Merav Cohen, and he said it had been edited in a biased way. “I did not know you as a fake channel, when you present a clip in a biased and false way, it is my role to say that, you are airing Merav Cohen’s fake,” Rothman replied.

The interviewer tried again and again to ask him about the confrontation, but Rothman kept emphasizing that the clip was biased and demanded that the full confrontation be shown to viewers. “The full video is with you.”
