Citroën Launches New 7-Seater Model Priced at 140,000 Shekels in Israel
Citroën has introduced a new 7-seater vehicle in Israel priced at 140,000 shekels, marking it as the most affordable seven-seat car in the country by a significant margin. This launch follows a broader price reduction strategy by Citroën's local distributor, Lubinski Group, which recently cut prices on the C4 and C3 crossover models by up to 25,000 shekels, with no changes to equipment levels. The price adjustments come amid a strengthening shekel and increased competition from Chinese car brands in the Israeli market.
Since the start of the year, Citroën has seen a 13% increase in deliveries, attributed to the introduction of more affordable models. The C4 hatchback now leads its category as the cheapest family hatchback after a 19,000-shekel price cut. It features a 1.2-liter turbocharged mild hybrid engine producing 145 horsepower, a dual-clutch automatic transmission, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds, and offers a combined fuel consumption of 21 km per liter.
The C4X sedan version has also been reduced by 25,000 shekels, making it the second cheapest sedan after the smaller Dacia Logan. It holds a higher safety rating with 4 out of 5 stars in European crash tests compared to Logan's 2 out of 4 stars. The official fuel consumption for the C4X is 20.4 km per liter.
The C3 Aircross crossover is now the cheapest in its segment after Dacia Sandero, priced below competitors like the Seat Arona and Skoda Kamiq, with an official fuel consumption of 18.5 km per liter. The new 7-seater model, priced at 140,000 shekels down from 157,000, remains significantly cheaper than its closest rivals, the Dacia Logan and Chery Tiggo 8, which are larger and offer more space, especially in the trunk and third-row seating.
All Citroën models in Israel come with a manufacturer warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, with an option to extend to five years or 120,000 kilometers for an additional 1,000 shekels, available to private customers only.
