The countries made clear that Iran must stop its actions immediately, while emphasizing their determination to protect their citizens. The international coalition pointed to a recent wave of attacks across Europe, for which the pro-Iranian group "Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia" (HAYI) claimed responsibility. This marks a worrying escalation for Western intelligence agencies, since these attempts include not only murder, but also kidnappings, harassment and threats intended to undermine national sovereignty and international norms.
Reports indicate that the Iranian plots are not directed only at political figures, but are also explicitly targeting Jewish communities and prominent regime opponents. "The attempts to kill, kidnap or intimidate people on our soil must stop immediately," the joint statement read, serving as a wake-up call to the West against Tehran’s tentacles.
