Heavy Fire Destroys Melody Restaurant Hall in Eilat, Firefighters Prevent Spread

A severe fire broke out on Tuesday at the well-known Melody restaurant in Eilat, causing the entire dining hall to burn down. Firefighters from the Eilat regional station responded quickly upon arrival, encountering heavy flames and thick black smoke visible across the city. They managed to control the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby businesses, and worked to clear smoke and prevent it from entering adjacent buildings. Fire crews also conducted thorough searches inside the restaurant and neighboring establishments to ensure no one was trapped.

A fire investigator from Israel Fire and Rescue Services will examine the cause of the blaze. This incident follows another major fire earlier this month at the famous Ama restaurant in Jerusalem, where seven firefighting teams responded to flames that engulfed the roof. Fire Chief Oren Avrahami reported that the teams conducted extensive searches to rule out trapped individuals and successfully contained the fire despite concerns about structural collapse.

These recent fires highlight ongoing challenges faced by Israeli firefighters in managing large-scale restaurant fires in urban areas.
