Nearly three years after the October 7 massacre, the Israeli State Comptroller's Office released a comprehensive report evaluating the healthcare system and the Ministry of Defense's rehabilitation department's response to wounded victims. The report, presented by CEO Brigadier General (res.) Yishai Vaknin, highlighted significant shortcomings, including many injured individuals feeling they are not fully aware of their rights and having to rely on informal word-of-mouth information. To avoid a conflict of interest, Hagai Englman, son of the State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman and himself wounded about a month after the war began, recused himself from involvement in this report.
