Thailand: Death Sentence for Two Men Who Killed 20 in Bangkok Attack Nearly a Decade Ago

A court in Thailand sentenced two men from the Uyghur minority to death for carrying out the 2015 attack in Bangkok, in which 20 people were killed and about 123 were wounded. In the attack, which took place in central Bangkok on August 17, 2025, a pipe bomb was planted and exploded at the popular Erawan Shrine.
