Belz Rebbe Inaugurates New Amrei Sofer Synagogue in Ramat D, Beit Shemesh

A joyous celebration took place in the Ramat D neighborhood of Beit Shemesh as the Belz Hasidic community and local residents gathered to inaugurate the new and grand Amrei Sofer synagogue, housed in the "Beit Yaakov Shalom" building. This impressive structure was named in memory of the renowned philanthropist Rabbi Yaakov Shalom Fisher, whose name is honored in the establishment of Torah centers for the Hasidic community both in Israel and abroad.

The event was graced by the presence of the Belz Rebbe, accompanied by his eldest son, Rabbi Shalom Tzvi Sofer, and his eldest grandson, Rabbi Meshulam Sofer. The ceremony began with the Rebbe affixing mezuzot to the synagogue's doorposts, followed by the first evening prayer service held within the new study hall. Afterwards, the Rebbe conducted a celebratory tish (festive meal) for the attendees.

In his address, the Rebbe emphasized the great sanctity of the new house of study and prayer, highlighting its spiritual significance for the community. He also bestowed his holy blessing upon the distinguished Fisher family in recognition of their commendable contributions. The event marked a significant milestone for the Belz Hasidim and the broader community in Beit Shemesh.
