Israel Faces Rising Temperatures and Intense Heatwave in Inland Areas

Israel is experiencing a moderate heatwave with temperatures rising above seasonal averages, particularly in inland regions. On Tuesday, coastal areas and the lowlands will see partly cloudy to clear skies with high humidity causing moderate heat discomfort. In contrast, the mountains, northern valleys, and inland areas will endure hotter-than-usual conditions with intensified heat stress.

At night, skies will clear across most regions, providing comfortable conditions for outdoor activities. Central and northern mountain areas will experience light winds and cooler temperatures. The warming trend will continue on Wednesday, with temperatures remaining well above the long-term average for this time of year.

Light to moderate northwesterly winds will blow along the coastal plain in the afternoon, slightly easing the heat discomfort. However, the Jordan Valley, Arava, and Eilat will face severe to extreme heat stress. Jerusalem and Mitzpe Ramon will have relatively dry but still warm daytime conditions.

Forecasted temperatures include Jerusalem at 21-32°C, Tel Aviv and Haifa at 24-29°C, Afula at 22-34°C, Ashdod at 23-30°C, Ashkelon at 24-29°C, Beersheba at 21-35°C, and Mitzpe Ramon at 20-32°C.
