Argentine Footballer Lucas Troch's Wife and Children Found Dead After Venezuela Earthquake

The death toll from the powerful earthquakes in Venezuela continues to rise as rescue efforts persist. Among the tragic stories is that of Argentine footballer Lucas Troch, who plays in the Venezuelan league. After approximately 74 hours of searching, Troch was informed that his wife and three young children had died in the disaster. The heartbreaking news was first shared by family friend and fellow footballer Edson Tortolero, who posted on social media: "We inform all residents of Venezuela and Argentina that Lucas Troch's family members were found deceased. We thank everyone for their support and ask for full respect for the family during this time. We pray for their eternal life."

Troch's club, Marítimo La Guaira, also issued an official statement expressing condolences: "The Marítimo La Guaira Sports Club deeply mourns the loss of Lucas Troch's family. We ask for respect for his family and teammates. After 74 hours of searching, they were found deceased." Just hours before receiving the tragic news, Troch had shared a family photo on social media with his wife and children. His wife, Yana, had recently posted a birthday message to him in April, calling their family a blessing and expressing how life was easier and more beautiful together.
