Beitar Jerusalem Plans Contract Talks with Luka Gadrani Amid Season Preparations
Beitar Jerusalem has surpassed 10,000 season ticket renewals as it prepares for the upcoming football season, aiming to break last year's record of 15,000 season tickets sold. The club expects that continued fan investment will encourage owner Barak Abramov to increase financial support. Central defender Luka Gadrani, one of the team's standout players last season, has been informed by the management that contract negotiations, including a salary upgrade and a two-year extension, will take place after the team returns from its training camp in Bulgaria.
Meanwhile, midfielder Ailson Tavares is expected to leave the club, with interest from two teams, one in Portugal and another in Poland. Beitar has made it clear that Tavares will not be transferred without receiving compensation. Additionally, due to the Maccabiah Games, Beitar Jerusalem will start the new season away from their home stadium, Teddy Stadium. The club has reserved two alternative venues: Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa and Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa. However, the likelihood of opening the season at Bloomfield is low since it is already hosting two Tel Aviv teams. Beitar prefers a stadium with a capacity exceeding 15,000 seats, limiting their options to these two venues.
