WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated on the social media platform X that since June 21, the extreme temperatures have caused these fatalities. Currently, approximately 150 million people across Europe are living under conditions of extreme heat, highlighting the widespread impact of the heatwave on the continent.
