Israeli Government Approves 82.5 Million Shekel Plan to Enhance Healthcare Services in Eilat
The Israeli government has approved a comprehensive plan to improve healthcare services in Eilat and the surrounding Eilot region, allocating a total of 82.5 million shekels. The initiative focuses on strengthening infrastructure at Yoseftal Hospital, attracting high-quality medical personnel to the city, and continuing the operation of a civilian helicopter for patient evacuations.
As part of the plan, 30 million shekels will be dedicated to recruiting and retaining medical students in the area, aiming to build a sustainable local medical workforce. Additionally, 10 million shekels will be invested in enhancing cardiology services, including exploring the establishment of a catheterization unit.
