Barle'eh Krombi says he survived serious Highway 6 crash

Media figure Barle'eh Krombi said he was injured in a violent rear-end collision on Highway 6 near the Ramla tunnel, and that his life was saved by what he called a “great miracle.” In a post after being discharged from the hospital, he described the crash as one of the most frightening moments he has ever experienced.

Krombi wrote that while he was driving and on a phone call, he suddenly heard a huge impact from behind. He said the force sent his car spinning out of control across three lanes, with the vehicle continuing to rotate at high speed before stopping facing the wrong direction. He described trying to brake and steer as the car kept crashing and spinning.

He said the scariest moment came when the car approached the median barrier and stopped only a few meters away from it. “Baruch Hashem, it ended in a great miracle,” he wrote, adding, “My life was saved, פשוטו כמשמעו,” and thanking God.

Krombi said he is recovering at home after a short hospitalization and is suffering from back and chest injuries, along with breathing difficulties and the aftereffects of shock. He warned that the incident “could have ended very badly,” reflected on how fragile life is, thanked the people who stopped to help, and said that after he recovers he is expected to return to reserve duty.
