Tomer Greenberg and Liki Glik, one of the current couples on Israel’s "Married at First Sight," have drawn strong viewer reactions after openly discussing a lack of physical attraction in the last two episodes. Greenberg effectively told his bride that, for now, he does not feel the kind of attraction he had hoped for, and the exchange left many viewers uncomfortable.
On Wednesday, Greenberg addressed the episode in an Instagram story, saying, "It was hard for me to watch yesterday’s episode, just as it was hard for me to be in that situation." He said he had planned a romantic trip to the desert, with photos against the Milky Way and a meteor shower that happens once a year, hoping they could leave their difficulties behind and relax together. Instead, he said, the crisis came with them.
Greenberg added that the isolated setting brought out a lot of honesty from both him and Glik. In his words, it showed how hard the situation was for her, how she did not know what to do, and that she was in "a real and deep crisis." Despite the discomfort, he said he was glad they went, calling the honesty that emerged "necessary."
Glik also responded on Instagram, saying Tuesday’s episode was difficult for her as well, but she wanted to offer another perspective. She said honesty can be painful and confusing, and that timing matters, but that being truthful is valuable. She added, "I wish every man who encounters inner complexity would dare to bring it to the table like a real man, and speak with such respect and care," saying that what she sees is the difficulty alongside friendship, concern, and care.
