A chaotic fight erupted on Monday morning, around 8:00 a.m., as passengers from Carnival Conquest lined up for customs inspection after the ship docked in Miami following a Bahamas cruise. Video from the scene shows several passengers attacking one another near the queue area, with suitcases flying and U.S. customs and security officers rushing in to separate the crowd.
According to reports, the brawl began with two unidentified women. One, wearing a black strapless dress, is seen moving under a queue barrier and attacking a woman in polka-dot pajamas. A woman in a yellow dress then joins the fight and grabs the pajama-clad woman by the hair. Within seconds, more passengers join in, exchanging punches and kicks. The footage also shows a man lifting a barrier post over his head while people around him scream.
No arrests were made and it is still unclear what sparked the violence. A Carnival spokesperson told news.com that 16 people were placed on the company’s blacklist and will be barred from future sailings. The company said the incident happened in the disembarkation area under the authority of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and added, “We appreciate the swift response of law enforcement and the handling of the matter. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior.”
Miami-Dade police said the confrontation was between two feuding families. The episode follows another Carnival brawl in April 2025 in Galveston, Texas, where 24 passengers were blacklisted after a terminal fight that spread through the disembarkation area.
