Israel Beiteinu, led by Avigdor Lieberman, is reportedly working behind the scenes to build a new political bloc. According to a Monday night report on Channel 14, representatives from several groups met the previous evening to discuss possible political cooperation.
The meeting reportedly included delegates from Al HaDegel, the reservists' movement associated with Yoaz Hendel, and a representative for Dadi Shchimi. Israel Beiteinu also had a representative there, identified as Ariel Menashe, chairman of the Haredim Integrating Forum.
Menashe has reportedly been active recently in discreet efforts to connect different figures for the party and for Lieberman personally. The gathering was meant to examine possible joint action in the upcoming election campaign.
The report says Lieberman is keeping several moves close to his chest and plans to reveal them closer to Election Day.
