Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has announced that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child. Hathaway is 43. The couple married in 2012 and already have two sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.
She revealed the news in a short video posted to her Instagram account, showing her pregnant belly. In the clip, Hathaway walks into frame in a white dress, initially covering her stomach with her hands. As Barbara Lewis’s song “Baby I’m Yours” plays, she lowers her hands, smiles, holds her belly, and leaves the frame. She captioned the post, “Baby, I’m yours.”
The video drew millions of views within hours. The announcement follows a May interview with Elle, in which Hathaway spoke about family life with Shulman and their children, saying the boys are now at an age when the family enjoys spending time together and that she and her husband try to make the most of every moment.
Hathaway has also said in the past that motherhood changed her life significantly and helped her feel more present and complete. In another interview with People, she praised Shulman’s support, especially during a demanding year professionally, saying she feels lucky to have him by her side. The pregnancy news comes as she faces a busy career period, including renewed attention on the sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada” and her disclosure that she has dealt for years with a major vision impairment in one eye.
