Dozens of parents from across the region attended a special information evening this week in Betar Illit to learn about housing, employment, and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. The event was initiated by parents interested in Ahar Sarah’s programs and expanded with support from the city’s welfare officials because demand was so strong.
At the center of the evening were Ahar Sarah’s different service tracks, which were presented to show the organization’s range of tailored solutions in housing, employment, and individual support. The audience was shown programs for boys and girls, advanced housing options, employment centers, and professional services adapted to different levels of functioning.
The presentation for Ahar Sarah was led by housing division director Zehava Maman, cluster coordinator Shani Haas, and employment representative Rabbi Shalom Gangar. They gave parents a broad overview of the options available to families, and the evening drew strong interest, many questions, and a practical, professional atmosphere.
By the end of the meeting, many families had already asked to explore joining Ahar Sarah’s different frameworks. The organization said the Betar Illit event was part of a wider series of outreach and introduction activities across Israel aimed at making its housing, employment, and community services more accessible. Ahar Sarah director Malka Weinberg said, “The growing demand for quality housing and employment services proves how much families are looking for professional, warm, and advancing frameworks for their loved ones. We are happy for the opportunity to meet parents, present our range of solutions, and open the door for more families seeking a better future for their children.”
