Caliber is a digital marketplace founded by entrepreneurs Binyahu Gamarsani and Maor Ben Yaakov that lets Israeli consumers order home and business services through an app. The company says it applies the on-demand model familiar from apps like Wolt and taxi-hailing services to the trades sector, with users submitting a service request and receiving price offers from available professionals in the relevant area within minutes.
The platform emphasizes transparency, letting customers compare prices, satisfaction scores, active profiles and verified reviews before choosing a provider. Caliber says it already includes thousands of active businesses with updated profiles and verified feedback, and that thousands of orders flow through the system every month. It also says repeat usage is especially strong because customers find the experience simple and intuitive.
Unlike a basic online directory, Caliber runs what it describes as a human quality-control process. After each job, service and support staff call the customer to ask whether the provider arrived on time, charged the agreed price and delivered the promised service. The company says this gives users a safety net and pushes professionals to maintain high standards, since every review affects their standing on the platform.
The model is also designed to help small businesses and independent tradespeople. Rather than spending heavily on Google or Facebook ads, they can reach customers who are actively seeking their specific service right now. Caliber says strong service leads to higher rankings and more work, and that businesses can offer better prices because they do not need large marketing budgets. The company, which currently has about 10 employees, is hiring in sales, customer service and development as it expands.
