Israel’s martial arts scene is building toward one of its biggest events in years, as GFN comes to Tel Aviv’s Menora Mivtachim Arena on July 27, 2026. The evening’s headline bout will pit rising Israeli star Ahot HaShem Gordon against Brazilian MMA veteran John Lineker, in a matchup billed as a clash of generations and styles.
Gordon, 20, will fight in front of a home crowd for the first time in his career. Known in combat sports as the “Golden Boy,” he has a perfect professional record, has won prestigious international titles, and was crowned junior kickboxing world champion. He has also earned notable wins on major stages, including ONE Championship, and is seen as one of Israel’s most promising next-generation fighters.
Lineker, nicknamed “Hands of Stone,” brings far more experience. He spent years competing at the top level in the UFC, won a ONE Championship title, and is regarded as one of the most dangerous knockout punchers in the lighter weight classes. Across a long career, he has built a reputation as a relentless brawler who never backs down.
The Gordon-Lineker fight is already being described as the card’s main attraction and could become one of the most talked-about combat sports events ever held in Israel. The undercard is also taking shape, with Ilai Barzilai set to face Lucas Almeida, Ruach HaShem matched with Maximus Bkhunuta, and Zohar Hiyot taking on Modestas Zmuidina.
