Freshly disclosed U.S. government documents suggest that China and Russia are actively trying to collect and reverse engineer unidentified objects that have crashed. The material came from a third batch of UFO files released on June 12 by the U.S. Department of War, and it is raising concern among American security officials because it implies rival powers are studying technology that could threaten U.S. national security.
Jordan Flowers, chief operating officer of the UAP Disclosure Foundation, said in an interview on NewsNation Prime that the development is a direct national security threat. He said adversaries are not only trying to crack alleged extraterrestrial technology, but are also monitoring secret U.S. programs in the field. Flowers added that there are reasons to believe China and Russia have located objects linked to these phenomena and carried out reverse engineering on them.
Former Air Force intelligence officer and whistleblower David Grusch told the New York Post that the United States is aware Russia and China are watching American UFO research programs. Flowers said disclosure of the information is a top priority for the Trump administration. The UAP Disclosure Foundation will hold a forum in Washington on June 25 to examine the security, technological and religious consequences of releasing the information.
The documents include photos of unidentified objects in the sky, along with a CIA cable about a major 2008 incident in Zimbabwe. On July 2, 2008, security forces in Zimbabwe were placed on high alert after a UFO hovered directly over Harare International Airport. The cable, circulated within the U.S. government and military in the final months of the George W. Bush administration, described a disk-shaped craft with a hollow center, rotating lights underneath, and beams emitted during the sighting. The lights later changed color, the object rose rapidly and disappeared, and the report ended without a conclusion, noting internal debate over whether it was advanced foreign surveillance equipment or something extraterrestrial.
