Princess of Wales Kate Middleton appeared at Royal Ascot on Wednesday, joining Prince William after missing the event for two years while fighting cancer. The 44-year-old took part in the royal carriage procession and sat beside William in a carriage one behind King Charles and Queen Camilla.
For the occasion, Middleton wore a yellow Roksanda dress worth 1,095 pounds and a wide-brimmed Jane Taylor Millinery hat. She carried an ivory Anya Hindmarch clutch valued at 395 pounds and wore Gianvito Rossi heels. William matched her look with yellow flowers pinned to his lapel.
Middleton also paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth by wearing her diamond earrings, and she paired them with a pearl bracelet that belonged to the late Princess Diana. The fashion choices drew attention as she returned to one of Britain’s most prestigious and long-running horse-racing events.
Also attending Royal Ascot were Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and her children Zara Tindall and newly married Peter Phillips. Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton, was also present, along with Lady Gabriella Windsor, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent.
