Israeli game company Moon Active is carrying out another round of layoffs, cutting about 55 employees, according to information received by Globes. Of those, 25 are in Israel and roughly 30 more are in offices around the world. Sources said the company describes the move as an organizational “adjustment” focused on two of its studios.
The latest cuts come only about five months after Moon Active’s previous layoff round in January 2025, when it said 110 employees were being let go worldwide, including 30 in Israel, as part of an organizational change and a sharper focus on specific business areas. The company had also carried out an additional reduction round earlier in 2025.
Moon Active is considered one of Israel’s largest and most profitable private tech companies. It was founded by Mooli Albin and grew mainly on the success of its mobile game Coin Master, which became one of the world’s highest-grossing mobile games. Over time, the company expanded through additional game development and by acquiring game studios outside Israel.
In the previous layoffs, Moon Active said it was still posting strong business results and had set a revenue record in 2025, but was reviewing its operations and internal processes as part of its 2026 strategy. Sources said the new round is similarly targeted at two specific studios and is not a broad cut across all company units.
