Randi, the importer of Prinoch baby fruit purees, responded after tests found medicinal substances in jars of the product. The company said the Health Ministry had clarified that the products are safe for consumers and that there is no obstacle to continuing to market them.
According to Randi, the findings indicate that an outside party deliberately introduced foreign substances into the product. The company did not identify who might be responsible or say when the contamination occurred.
Police said all investigative directions are still being examined. The case remains under review as authorities assess how the substances ended up in the jars and whether the incident was intentional.
