German robotics company Neura Robotics announced today, Wednesday, that it has raised up to $1.4 billion in a Series C round, with participation from a number of prominent investors including Nvidia, Amazon, Qualcomm and the crypto company Tether. Also taking part in the round were the European industrial giants Bosch and Schaeffler, as well as the European Investment Bank (EIB). According to a source familiar with the details quoted by CNBC, the fundraising gives the company a valuation of about $7 billion. The company itself declined to comment on its valuation. According to the source, the full investment amount is contingent on Neura Robotics meeting certain performance targets, but the company did not specify what those targets are.

"The future of artificial intelligence will not live on screens alone," said the company’s CEO and founder, David Reger. "It will move, communicate, learn and work alongside us in the real world."

The fundraising comes amid growing investor enthusiasm for robotics companies, especially those developing humanoid robots that combine artificial intelligence capabilities and are designed to operate in physical environments alongside humans. According to data from research company Dealroom, robotics companies have raised a cumulative $55.8 billion since the start of 2026, a new record and nearly double the previous peak set last year. Most of the capital in the sector continues to flow to companies in the U.S. and China, but in recent years several notable players have also emerged in Europe. These include the German company Agile Robots, backed by SoftBank, and the British company Humanoid.

Reger rejected the notion that only Silicon Valley can produce global-scale AI infrastructure companies. "We believe the next generation of AI leaders can emerge anywhere there is vision, engineering talent and execution capability," he said. According to him, the current fundraising puts Neura Robotics "at the forefront of the global robotics race, alongside the leading companies in the U.S. and China."
