The Romtek business center in Rachasim has reached full occupancy in its retail areas, as developers say major chains, investors and businesses have already secured space. The project is expected to become the commercial heart of Rachasim and the surrounding area.
The complex, built in the center of the city, includes active retail floors as well as advanced office and employment levels. Developers say it is expected to serve more than 100,000 people within a few years, supported by rapid construction and population growth in the town. Among the tenants already committed are Rami Levy Shivuk Hashikma, a large bank branch serving the haredi sector, a leading children’s shoe chain, and a large bakery.
Negotiations are also underway with health funds for complementary and consultative medical services. With retail space now fully leased, the project is opening its office and work floors to independent professionals, clinics, lawyers, accountants, telemarketing centers, high-tech firms, coworking spaces and growing businesses.
Romtek says demand is being driven by its strategic location near the new city hall and main transport routes, and by expectations that the area will become the town’s future center of activity. The developers say, “Businesses already understand where the city is going,” and, “Anyone who wants to be where the traffic will be is coming now.”
The broader region is also expected to get a major boost from Nvidia’s planned campus in Kiryat Tivon, a short drive from Rachasim, which is projected to employ about 10,000 workers. Transport Minister Miri Regev has set up a special committee led by ministry director general Moshe Ben Zaken to advance the project, including a new train station, dedicated roads and even an aircraft landing strip. Meanwhile, Rachasim itself is growing quickly with thousands of new homes, young haredi families and upgraded infrastructure, while an approved interchange on Highway 6 is expected to improve access to central Israel.
