Gadi Eisenkot Hints at Political Alliances Ahead of Election Deadline

Gadi Eisenkot, head of the "Yashar" party, suggested on Friday that political mergers and movements are likely before the candidate lists for the upcoming October 27th elections close. He expressed confidence that "the bloc will win more than 60 seats," indicating he is in contact with various political parties to form a winning coalition for governmental change.

During an interview, Eisenkot discussed the possibility of future political alliances, stating he possesses leadership, decision-making abilities, and a deep commitment to Israel, along with a readiness for bold actions. He urged patience, promising surprises within the next three days and asserting that the true test lies in the results, which he believes will lead to a winning political system and a victory exceeding 60 seats.

These political developments coincide with reports of contacts between prominent figures in Arab nations and Eisenkot's team. There have also been ongoing discussions with Naftali Bennett, head of the "Unity" party, and opposition leader Yair Lapid, exploring political directions in the event of a government change. An informed source indicated that these countries are engaging with potential future prime ministers.

Eisenkot further elaborated on potential mergers, stating that he is speaking with everyone and that publicizing such discussions would undermine their seriousness. He anticipates more surprises in the coming three to four days, which he believes will be in Israel's best interest and will persist until the election date.
