Ashdod Residential Building Fire Causes Heavy Smoke, No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out in the courtyard of a residential building in Ashdod on Wednesday, September 4, 2026, sending thick smoke billowing into the building and surrounding area. Firefighting and rescue teams responded to the scene and worked to control and extinguish the blaze.
According to a statement from the spokesperson for Arabic media in the Fire and Rescue Services, Kayed Daher, firefighters battled the flames and subsequently ventilated the building to remove the accumulated smoke.
The fire was successfully contained and extinguished without any reported human injuries or significant damage. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
