Ofer Winter Predicts Protest Vote in Upcoming Elections

Reserve Brigadier General Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Am Ech Israel" party, stated in a televised interview that he anticipates a significant protest vote in the upcoming elections. Winter, who recently joined the political arena, expressed strong criticism of the government's handling of the ongoing conflict, particularly concerning the burden placed on reservists.

During his appearance on the program "HaPatriotim," Winter argued that while the country may have achieved military successes, reservists have borne the brunt of the hardship for three years. He directly addressed the audience, suggesting that anyone who believes there won't be a protest vote on October 27th is "in a misconception." He shared personal insights, describing the continuous call-ups affecting reservists and their families.

Winter also criticized the government for delaying what he termed "absolute victory" and repeatedly assuring reservists that each deployment would be their last until the war's conclusion. He implied that the program's audience might be in an "echo chamber," resistant to differing opinions, but maintained his conviction about the impending protest vote.
