Elite Prison Service Unit 'Matzada' Welcomes 16 New Operatives

The Israel Prison Service celebrated the completion of the 13th combatant course for its elite 'Matzada' unit yesterday, following a rigorous six-month training program. The 16 graduates have now officially joined the unit's ranks.

During their intensive training, the recruits underwent tests designed to evaluate their operational capabilities, personal resilience, teamwork, and adherence to the unit's high standards. The new operatives will now integrate into the unit's daily operations and complex missions.

'Matzada' is a special operations unit within the Israel Prison Service responsible for handling security threats and disturbances within correctional facilities, including hostage situations and riots.
