Family Injured in Severe Road Accident Near Ma'alot
Four people, including a four-year-old child, sustained serious injuries in a horrific road accident on Highway 89 near Ma'alot on the morning of September 3, 2026. Medical teams responded to the scene and provided initial treatment to a man in his sixties and the four-year-old child, both of whom were in serious condition. A 35-year-old woman and a one-year-old infant suffered moderate injuries. All were transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Emergency services found the vehicle in a ravine, suspecting it had overturned. The man was disoriented and unstable, while the child had a severe head injury. Rescue teams used ropes to extract the four individuals, including two adults and two children, from the steep 30-meter slope after the private car slid down. The father and the four-year-old child were reported in serious condition, while the mother and the infant were in moderate condition.
The Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya confirmed receiving the four injured individuals following the rollover accident. The family consisted of a father, mother, their four-year-old son, and nine-month-old daughter. Two arrived in serious condition and two in moderate, all admitted to the trauma unit for evaluation and treatment.
