Singer Noam Batan appeared Tuesday on Kan News Radio 2’s "Bachatzi Hayom" just after releasing his new single, "Tamid Ratziti Od". In the interview, he discussed the song, reflected on his Eurovision experience last month, and outlined his upcoming sold-out shows at the Barby club.
Batan said the song was written more than two years ago with Sync Beats, part of the Temper City lineup. He explained that it touches on different periods in his life, from being a Michael Jackson fan as a child to his military service. Although the lyrics may sound like a love song, he stressed that it is about music, saying, "It sounds like it is for a woman, but I am talking about music." He added that the track reflects an inner hunger for achievement during a difficult career period, when the gap between what he felt he should be achieving and reality felt very painful.
He said he is now trying to act with gratitude rather than from a sense of endless lack. Regarding the five August performances he will hold at the Barby, he said he could have chosen a larger venue after Eurovision, but wanted something more intimate. "I so wanted to come back and meet the audience, look them in the eyes, feel them, do it modestly," he said. He described the shows as a chance to mix existing songs with new material.
Batan also spoke about finishing second in Eurovision last month, calling it "the craziest experience I have ever had in my life." He said he learned to manage excitement, breathe, focus, and take care of himself, and credited eight years of work in the industry with helping him keep perspective. Looking ahead, he said he wants to enjoy the momentum more and use it to positively influence and help people.
