Ministers Update Rabbi Dov Lior on Election Strategy, Receive Blessing

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf visited Rabbi Dov Lior at his home on Wednesday to brief him on political maneuvers ahead of the upcoming Knesset list closures. Rabbi Lior, considered the spiritual leader of the Otzma Yehudit party and a senior figure in Religious Zionism, was updated on the party's preparations for the elections.

The meeting proceeded despite Rabbi Lior's advanced age and frailty. Ben-Gvir and Wasserlauf presented the latest developments and the steps they intend to advance as part of the party's election strategy. Following their presentation, Rabbi Lior offered his blessing and expressed support for their initiatives.

Rabbi Lior did not limit his involvement to a personal blessing. He used the occasion to directly address the public regarding the elections, endorsing Otzma Yehudit as the movement that best embodies commitment to the Land of Israel and the people of Israel. He urged voters to strengthen the party at the ballot box.

"I find it appropriate to address our brothers, the people of Israel, lovers of our people and our holy land, that the movement that has inscribed on its banner 'Land of Israel for the People of Israel, and solely for the People of Israel' is the Otzma Yehudit movement," Rabbi Lior stated. He further blessed the party's representatives, wishing them significant success in the elections.

"May God bless the representatives of Otzma Yehudit with many mandates, so they can bring salvation to the people of Israel from all the weak elements within our people, and there are still weak ones in our generation," he said. Rabbi Lior added that strengthening the party, in his view, would ultimately lead to "peace and truth."
