Israeli AI Firm IVIX Cuts 10% of Staff Amid Strategic Realignment

Israeli startup IVIX, which develops an artificial intelligence platform to combat financial crime for governments and law enforcement agencies worldwide, has announced significant organizational changes including workforce reductions and technological expansion. The company is cutting approximately 10% of its staff, affecting around 9 employees out of its total workforce of 90, as part of a restructuring aimed at focusing resources on new growth areas.

Concurrently with the layoffs, IVIX is reallocating resources and continuing to hire for key growth sectors. The company is launching a new AI product designed as a financial AI investigator for major global law enforcement agencies. This new product, currently in pilot phase, assists investigators in conducting rapid, large-scale complex analyses by collecting information, analyzing data, and identifying patterns indicative of illegal financial activity, thereby streamlining investigative processes.

As part of its expansion, IVIX has appointed Yonatan Maman as its new Vice President of Research and Development. Maman, formerly CTO at Outbrain and holding engineering roles at IBM Research and Elbit Systems, will lead the company's global R&D organization and the development of next-generation products.

Founded in 2020 by Matan Petal (CEO) and Doron Pazov (CPO), IVIX has raised approximately $85 million from investors including Insight Partners, Team8, and Citi Ventures. The company has a track record of assisting in the discovery of vast amounts of hidden financial assets globally.

These layoffs add to a broader trend of job cuts within the Israeli high-tech sector. While 2026 saw significant reductions, the current wave is attributed to aggressive efficiency measures and automation driven by the AI revolution, rather than economic collapse.
