Netanyahu Warns Iran: Attack on Israel Would Be Among Your Last Acts
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Iran on Wednesday, stating that an attack on Israel would constitute "one of its last decisions." Netanyahu made these remarks during a visit to the Hesder Yeshiva Afikei Daat in Sderot, amidst escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington.
"Look also at what is happening with Iran. They attack and threaten everyone, but not here, because they already know what an attack against Israel would mean," Netanyahu declared. This statement follows recent U.S. strikes on Iranian facilities and Tehran's retaliatory actions targeting U.S. interests in several regional countries.
Netanyahu also addressed the situation in the Gaza Strip, asserting that Israel has fundamentally altered the security landscape in the region. "We control a vast area of the Gaza Strip and we act against those who threaten us," he affirmed. He also commented on the recent capture of Hamas's head of internal security by the Shin Bet and the IDF in Gaza City.
The Prime Minister further cited the elimination of several Hamas and Hezbollah leaders since the October 7th massacre, including Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, Ismail Haniyeh, Mohammed Sinwar, Hassan Nasrallah, and Izz al-Din al-Haddad. "We are changing the reality around us and eliminating, one by one, the threats to the State of Israel," he added.
Earlier in his address, Netanyahu praised the military commitment of students from Hesder Yeshivas, which combine religious studies with IDF service. "From the first day of the war, you and your comrades have fought courageously for the people and the State of Israel. I salute you on behalf of all the people of Israel," he told them. According to Israeli Channel N12, some students present chanted calls for revenge against Palestinians during the visit, in the presence of the Prime Minister and Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi. These chants reportedly included a modified version of a song associated with far-right Jewish circles.
