Internet Personality 'King Chain' Launches New Political Party

Eitan Shvili, the internet personality known as 'King Chain' and a controversial figure on social media, has officially entered the political arena. Shvili, a businessman from Givat Shmuel, filed an application on August 24, 2026, with the Ministry of Justice's Registrar of Parties to register a new political party named 'Chain for Love and Unity of the People.'

Shvili, who styles himself 'the King,' is recognized for his ostentatious displays, often seen wearing gold and diamond jewelry, elaborate robes, and a crown valued at approximately $245,000. In a past interview, he revealed a history in construction and a post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis following a severe family dispute over inheritance at his father's funeral. He claims a divine revelation 11 years ago led him to dedicate his life and fortune to charity, including distributing gold amulets to wounded soldiers and dropping money from helicopters.

The new party's election campaign is already active on social media, featuring promotional videos of Shvili distributing dollars to passersby across Israel. He presents himself as a legitimate candidate for prime minister and has publicly challenged prominent political leaders, including Benjamin Netanyahu, Gadi Eisenkot, and former U.S. President Donald Trump, to a debate.

While Shvili's move has elicited mixed reactions online, he remains confident that his party will bring genuine unity and governance.
