IBI Silver Castle Appoints New Chairman Amid Digital Asset Growth
IBI Silver Castle, a public company specializing in investment management and digital asset financial instruments, has announced the appointment of Shi Datika as its new Chairman of the Board. This move follows the completion of IBI Investment House's acquisition of controlling interest in Silver Castle and marks a significant step in integrating the company under its new ownership and expanding its market presence.
Datika replaces Zvi Ziv, who is concluding his tenure after guiding the company since its inception. Datika brings over 25 years of experience in capital markets, banking, commerce, and fintech. Previously, he founded and served as CEO of INX, a digital asset and securities trading platform, which was later sold to Republic. He also founded and managed ILS Brokers and held various management and investment roles, most recently serving on the board and as chair of the investment committee at Altshuler Shaham Provident Funds.
The appointment occurs amidst rapid global development and increasing regulation in the digital asset sector, alongside growing institutional investor involvement. Following the acquisition by IBI, Silver Castle's operations have been integrated into the investment house's alternative investments division. The company will focus on developing investment products and financial instruments with an emphasis on risk management, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
Dave Lubetzky, CEO of IBI Investment House, stated that this is the first of several steps to strengthen the company's infrastructure as a foundation for the group's expansion in the sector. Azi Harel, CEO of IBI Silver Castle, thanked the outgoing chairman, Zvi Ziv, and praised Datika's expertise in bridging traditional finance with blockchain technology. Datika expressed confidence, stating, "Blockchain and digital assets are here to stay. The question is no longer 'if,' but 'how.' We are moving towards a full transition of the financial world to blockchain and digital assets."
