Trump Claims Full Control of Strait of Hormuz, Iran Near Nuclear Bomb

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that the United States prevented Iran from reaching the threshold of developing a nuclear weapon, claiming Tehran was only about two weeks away from possessing one before U.S. action. Trump asserted that without the deployment of U.S. B-2 stealth bombers to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, Iran would have destroyed Israel and the Middle East, and also targeted cities within the United States.

Addressing the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. President affirmed that American forces have "complete control" over the vital waterway. He indicated that recent U.S. military operations resulted in the destruction of approximately 28 Iranian vessels, asserting that the Iranian regime can no longer transport anything through the strait.

Responding to criticism regarding the economic repercussions of these actions, Trump characterized the situation as "short-term pain for long-term gain." He concluded by stating, "The bottom line is simple and clear: Iran will never have a nuclear weapon."
