Natanel Shason Releases New Song Reflecting Personal Struggles

Singer-songwriter Natanel Shason has released a new song titled "Hitbodadut" (Seclusion) during the Jewish month of Elul and the Days of Awe. The song is a personal reflection on the internal struggle between base desires and the soul, acknowledging failures while maintaining faith in the possibility of renewal.

Shason describes feelings of shame following moments of weakness, stating, "And the truth is, I am ashamed and embarrassed." He delves into the tension between spiritual aspirations and the temptations that draw individuals in, portraying himself as "torn, full of contradictions." Despite these vulnerabilities, the song emphasizes faith in redemption and the possibility of repair.

A recurring line in the song, "I just talk big and then fall there," highlights the gap between aspirations and actual experiences. However, alongside the acknowledgment of falling, the song reiterates faith that despair is not the end, and each morning offers a chance for renewal.

Shason wrote and composed "Hitbodadut" with Mor Ben Simon. In addition to performing the song, Shason was responsible for the drums, musical arrangement and production, keyboards, programming, samples, and mixing.
