Gadi Eisenkot Accuses Netanyahu of Failing to Receive Critical Oct. 7 Intelligence

Former IDF Chief of Staff and "Yashar!" party leader Gadi Eisenkot stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office received intelligence regarding Hamas's preparations for the October 7th invasion approximately three hours before the attack. Eisenkot confirmed that the Prime Minister's advisor on intelligence matters was aware of the developing situation from around 3:30 AM, as information was being relayed to the IDF Chief of Staff and the head of the Shin Bet.

Eisenkot asserted that the Prime Minister's office receives intelligence details as they are gathered, immediately upon reaching the IDF Chief of Staff and the Shin Bet head. He placed the responsibility for Netanyahu not receiving crucial information in a timely manner primarily on the Prime Minister himself.

According to Eisenkot, Netanyahu should have ensured his staff structure facilitated the prompt delivery of significant intelligence to him. This statement follows Eisenkot's previous accusations that Netanyahu's inner circle spread conspiracy theories to explain the failures leading up to the October 7th attack, which he described as one of Israel's most serious failures since its founding.
