Israeli pop star Omer Adam has shared photos and spoken for the first time about his recent wedding to Yarden "Sasha" Gonen. The ceremony took place in the historic 14th-century abbey in Portofino, Italy, a week after the couple had a small, intimate civil ceremony. The larger celebration on Wednesday was attended by friends and family who traveled from Israel and Italy.
Adam posted a message on Instagram expressing his gratitude for the love and support he received. "Wow, beloved friends, now that the pressure has calmed down a bit, I want to thank everyone for the love, energy, and atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us, thank you to everyone who blessed us from afar. I love you, thank you all," he wrote.
The wedding featured a new song by Adam as he walked down the aisle, and singer Moti Steinmetz performed the prayer "Ana Bekoach" during the chuppah ceremony. The festivities continued late into the night, followed by a separate "Shabbat Chatan" celebration, also in Italy, for close family and friends.
