Avi Levy Buys Millions in Lahav LR Stock, Boosts Stake Past 40%
Avi Levy, the controlling shareholder and chairman of Lahav LR, has demonstrated significant confidence in his company by purchasing shares worth approximately 4.3 million shekels. The transaction, executed at 11.2 shekels per share, involved the acquisition of about 385,000 shares, increasing Levy's total holding to roughly 40.12% of the company's share capital and voting rights. This move surpasses the 40% threshold, solidifying his position as a key controlling stakeholder.
The purchase was a single, substantial transaction rather than a series of smaller ones. In the capital markets, such large-scale share acquisitions by senior executives are typically viewed as a positive signal, indicating strong management belief in the company's future prospects and growth potential relative to its market price.
This development follows a recent trend observed in the real estate sector, where several major shareholders have been increasing their stakes in their respective companies. Notable examples include David Forer, the main shareholder of Mivne, who recently invested 100 million shekels in shares, as well as Yigal Damari, Hersch Friedman of Azorim, Tzachi Abu, and Alon Amram of Amram Avraham, all of whom have recently expanded their holdings in real estate firms.
Additionally, Amos Luzon also increased his holdings in his publicly traded companies on the same morning, acquiring shares in "Luzon Group," "Luzon Ronson," and "Luzon Credit" for several hundred thousand shekels.
