Eyal Berkovich Eyes Channel 14 Appearance, Willing to Pay

Veteran Israeli broadcaster Eyal Berkovich is reportedly close to appearing on Channel 14's popular panel show "HaPatriotim" (The Patriots). The idea for a potential exchange of appearances emerged during a conversation between Berkovich and fellow broadcaster Yinon Magal on the radio station 103FM. The proposed deal would see Magal guest on Berkovich's show "Moriah and Berkovich" on Channel 13, in return for Berkovich joining the "HaPatriotim" panel on Channel 14.

While Magal had previously been hesitant to appear on the Channel 13 program, he expressed openness to the current proposal, describing it as a mutually beneficial "barter deal" and stating he "does not rule out the event." Berkovich, however, conveyed a strong desire to appear on Channel 14, suggesting that the production might be "afraid" of his presence. He emphatically stated he is "ready to pay money to get on HaPatriotim."

Although no formal contract has been signed, the willingness shown by both prominent presenters indicates a potential bridging of the gap between radio and television broadcasting. If the move materializes, it is expected to be one of the most talked-about media events in Israel recently.

Berkovich recently made sharp criticisms against the Prime Minister's wife, Sara Netanyahu, following her remarks about Democratic Party leader Yair Golan on Channel 14. Berkovich attacked Netanyahu's claims, questioning why Golan was being denigrated on what he called Channel 14's "ugly petting zoo," deeming the situation "excessive."
