Israeli School Calendar for 2027 Detailed
As the new school year begins in Israel, the Ministry of Education has released the vacation schedule for the 2026-2027 academic year, designated as תשפ"ז (Tashpaz). The calendar outlines all official school holidays, assuming no major geopolitical or global crises occur.
The fall holidays include Rosh Hashanah from September 11-13, Yom Kippur from September 20-21, and Sukkot from September 25 to October 3. Notably, the Sukkot break begins on the eve of Yom Kippur and concludes after the holiday. Hanukkah will be observed from December 6-12. Purim holidays are scheduled for March 23-24, though the fast of Esther on March 22 will be a regular school day.
The spring break for Passover is set for April 13-28. However, the day after Passover, April 13, will be a regular school day. Independence Day falls on May 12, which will be a school holiday. Lag Ba'omer on May 9 will also be a regular school day. The Shavuot holiday will be observed on June 10-11, with the day after, June 12, being a regular school day as it falls on a Saturday.
The summer vacation for 2027 is scheduled to commence on July 1. The subsequent academic year, תשפ"ח (Tashpaz), is slated to begin on Wednesday, September 1, 2027.
