Brother of 'Brothers in Arms' Founder Criticizes Alliance with Ra'am Party

Yogev Tiktin, brother of one of the founders of the "Brothers in Arms" protest movement, has strongly criticized the left-wing bloc's efforts to legitimize the Arab party Ra'am as a political partner. Tiktin stated on Tuesday that such an alliance is "unacceptable" and a "double-edged sword," arguing that there is no justification for political partnership with Ra'am, which he described as the "sister party of Hamas."

Speaking on Channel 14's "The Patriots" program, Tiktin expressed concern that this move sends a negative message to both the Israeli public and the Arab community. He questioned whether prioritizing a party linked to Hamas over broader Zionist communities aligns with the desire for unity and partnership between populations. Tiktin also raised concerns about the implications for the Arab community, suggesting it could be interpreted as validating or even benefiting organizations like Hamas.

He further elaborated that this perceived endorsement of Ra'am by the left-wing bloc is particularly problematic given the party's alleged ties to radical and anti-liberal elements within Arab society. Tiktin concluded by reiterating his personal aspiration for unity and acceptance, while expressing deep reservations about the current political maneuvering.
