Panathinaikos Stars Injured Ahead of Maccabi Tel Aviv Clash
Panathinaikos basketball club is facing a significant blow as two of its key players, Kendrick Nunn and Nigel Hayes-Davis, have suffered injuries that will sideline them for the start of the EuroLeague season. Nunn is expected to be out until at least mid-October. Hayes-Davis sustained a broken hand during a team practice on Tuesday, confirmed by Greek media to be a metacarpal fracture. He is also projected to return in mid-to-late October, meaning both players will miss the initial part of the season.
This situation presents an advantage for Maccabi Tel Aviv, which is scheduled to play Panathinaikos on October 2nd in the second round of the EuroLeague season. Hapoel Tel Aviv may also face the Greek team without Nunn and Hayes-Davis when they play in Greece on October 16th.
