Toto Reports Record Second Quarter Amidst Regional Tensions

The Toto, Israel's national lottery and sports betting organization, has announced its second quarter of 2026 as its best ever, with profits of NIS 237 million slated for state coffers. This represents a 23% increase compared to the second quarter of 2025. Total sales for the quarter reached NIS 1.151 billion, a 17% rise year-over-year. Despite the quarter beginning with ongoing conflict against Iran and including only the initial two weeks of the World Cup, the Toto managed to break records.

The organization distributed NIS 792 million in prizes to the public during the second quarter, an increase of 15.3% from the same period in 2025. The Toto's online channel saw significant growth, generating NIS 341 million in revenue, a 26% increase, and accounted for 29.6% of total revenue, up from 27.5% in the prior year. The retail channel contributed NIS 810 million, an increase of 13.5%, making up 70.4% of the total revenue.

For the first half of 2026, the Toto reported record revenues of NIS 2.311 billion, an 11.5% increase over the first half of 2025. Profits transferred to the state from the first half totaled NIS 493 million, a 6.6% rise. Prizes distributed in the first half amounted to NIS 1.583 billion, up 11% year-over-year.

The most lucrative game in the second quarter was the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, generating NIS 9.5 million in sales. Other top-performing games included early World Cup matches such as Brazil vs. Japan, Argentina vs. Austria, Germany vs. Paraguay, and England vs. Croatia.
