Shai Avivi and Michal Libedinsky Launch a Couples Workshop on Sexual Connection

Actors Shai Avivi and Michal Libedinsky are launching a new couples workshop focused on deepening sexual connection, nearly three years after announcing their separation. The pair had been together for 25 years, including 20 years of marriage, before splitting, then reconciling five months later after each went through a separate personal journey.

Since getting back together, they have published a joint book and begun giving lectures and meetings about relationships. Libedinsky wrote on Facebook that the breakup became the starting point for their new path, saying that because of it, or thanks to it, they are now creating a workshop for couples to deepen sexual intimacy.

In her post, she recalled that around the time they were meant to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, Avivi needed a break from the marriage. She said she was deeply hurt, describing the separation as feeling like part of her body had been cut off, while he wanted to release something trapped inside him and go on a sexual journey without guilt or constraint.

Libedinsky said the five-month break pushed her to do something she had wanted for years, a mixed-gender sexuality workshop lasting eight days. She called it a “life changer,” saying it opened a new reservoir of sexual energy after years of what she described as frozen libido. After the workshop, the couple reunited and their sexuality moved into new territory.

She said she has since continued exploring sexual development with and without Avivi, and concluded that sexual energy is a source of vitality, that libido can be revived, and that eros is everywhere if people know how to gather it. The new workshop will include theory and practical sessions for couples only, with no nudity and no intimate touching, and is aimed at couples who want to explore sexuality together in a protected setting.
