Education Minister Assures Readiness for School Year Start

Education Minister Yoav Kisch announced that Israel's education system is fully prepared to welcome over 2.6 million students as the new school year begins. Speaking to Arutz 7 after a special situation assessment meeting, Kisch expressed his satisfaction that the school year would open as scheduled, attributing the success to the significant efforts of education professionals.

Kisch addressed what he described as negative media coverage of the education system, suggesting it is being unfairly attacked due to political motives and upcoming elections. He stated that excellent individuals work within the system and have his full support, pushing back against attempts by some media outlets to diminish their contributions.

Looking ahead to future elections, Kisch outlined his vision for the education system, contrasting it with a potential left-wing government led by Yair Golan. He emphasized his commitment to a right-wing government that would continue to promote a strong Jewish identity in education, reduce class sizes, and transition to a five-day school week.
