U.S. forces struck two Iranian rocket launchers on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, a senior American official confirmed Sunday. In an exclusive interview with N12 last week, Trump stated, "This business is open," regarding potential U.S. action. He characterized Iran's response as "very moderate" and suggested they do not wish for further U.S. attacks.

American officials indicated they have reversed the trend in the strait, suggesting this could be a pivotal moment leading to gradual global economic relief and a better deal with Iran. Earlier this month, after a 60-day memorandum of understanding expired, Trump declared on his TRUTH social platform that the Strait of Hormuz is "new territory for the United States," prompting signals from Tehran that patience with Washington was waning.
